It’s been nearly three months since the last escort services opened their doors in Los Angeles.
But that hasn’t stopped the city from looking for a new way to keep the most desirable men around.
Now, there are four new escort companies in town that have come to Los Angeles to help women get around without the need to be escorted.
But they don’t necessarily offer better services.
“The escort industry is still struggling with an influx of women looking for sex in the city, so it’s very hard for the industry to keep up,” Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Officer Laura De la Vega said.
“The number of women who need to come to LA to have sex with us is not growing at all.”
The four new services are all based in the same Los Angeles neighborhood as Los Angeles Times photographer Jessica Lee, who’s lived in the neighborhood for two years.
The city is offering services for two weeks at a time, and some of the women who use the services are already taking advantage of it.
The Escorts LA chapter, which has been operating since last fall, is hosting its first session on Wednesday.
“It’s really hard to get out of bed in the morning,” Lee said.
Lee has been using the service since October, when the LAPD began offering escort services in the area.
She has been able to walk down the street and have a date with men she wants to have a threesome with.
Lee said she’s seen a drop in the number of people calling the LAPD to report men they’d seen in her area in the past few weeks.
“I’m a bit surprised because I have seen a spike in calls,” Lee, 28, said.
The LA Times has also reported that in the first half of 2018, more than 30 percent of all the escort services it surveyed were operating in Los Angles, and that in that time, more women have come forward to report they’d been sexually assaulted.
The number of assaults reported to the LAPD is at an all-time high, and the number who report being sexually assaulted is more than twice the number the department estimates.
Lee said she has never been sexually attacked in her life.
But in her first two months with the Escorts Los Angeles chapter, Lee said the majority of her clients are from the same ethnic background and race as the men who approached her in her neighborhood.
“There’s been a lot of violence in our community,” Lee told the Los Angeles Daily News.
“But there’s also been a lack of awareness of sexual assault and abuse.
It’s very important that we educate the community about sexual assault.”
